MULTI-DAY TOURS
Our multi-day tours start/end in Reykjavik.

Tour suggestion:

We recommend our three-dayhighland journey, which takes you behind Mýrdalsjökull Glacier through a moonscape landscapes. In the Ófærudalur Valley, we do an easy hike to a natural hot pool to enjoy a bath in nature’s embrace.
The next day, we will drive the highland road to Eldgjá (Fire Canyon), taking a backroad to Langisjór Lake, close to Vatnajökull Glacier. From there, we will hike to the top of Mt. Sveinstindur and witness the sensational view over the lake and highlands.
We will take a scenic walk to a beautiful secret waterfall on our final day, continuing to a remote black sand beach. From there, we’ll climb up to a lighthouse and enjoy a great view over the dunes.

We can easily add extra days since the options in our region are endless.

More information:

During the Icelandic summer nights, we enjoy 24 hours of daylight. We may do evening hikes in the beautiful arctic evening light and bring takeaway dinner in such cases,

The highland roads (F-roads) normally are open in the last week of June when the snow has melted and the roads are dry. The highland roads are open until approx. mid-September.

Gear:
The terrain usually is gravel and sand, often with some side slopes. We recommend regular hiking shoes with good grip. Bring a jacket, a hat and gloves, and wind/rain-resistant pants is a must. Weather can change a few times in one day. The same is true for the temperature in the highlands. In one day, it can go from 8 to18 degrees Celsius (F 46 to 64), so it’s best to bring extra hiking clothes. We have plenty of space in the SUV.
